Amazing as always, great hometown restaurant that has a menu like no other. So many great choices from pasta to seafood and steaks but the pizza are top notch as well. Extensive wine and beer selections to wash it down.

Finally made it to the famed Mattucci's! Boyfriend's family has many fond memories here. His Dad called ahead for a reservation, just in case, though it ended up not being necessary this winter Wednesday. The hostess greeted us right away, sat us, and our wonderful waiter came to take our drink orders, and brought delicious fresh made bread with butter. Yum. The server was great, attentive, patient, answered our questions, made us feel very welcome. We each had entrees, two of us chose salads, basic iceberg with carrot & purple cabbage mix. One chose the soup which he loved. Usually I go for more vegetable dense dishes when dining out, but today I had Fettuccine Alfredo. LOVE the fresh pasta! The sauce was just right, how do they get it so smooth, and FRESH parsley on top! The Papa had the variety plate: sausage, meatball, two HUGE ravioli ( one meat / one cheese), with spaghetti and red sauce, he loved it. Mi amor had rigatoni with diablo sauce (just enough kick) and beautiful shrimp! There were leftovers all around, and we laughed at mention of dessert!!!

For what it is, the food is on par with most local pubs. Decent beer selection. But the service is some of the worst I've had. Not slow, but not super friendly and, at times, downright gruff. I've heard some insanely inappropriate conversations between workers well within earshot of customers. My last time there, some comments from bar staff was all I had to hear. If that's not something that bugs you, you'll probably not even notice. For me, I wouldn't go back.
